THE AWAKENING – Quantum Mechanics of the Human Brain and Consciousness

Before reading this interesting and potentially life changing blog, it would be a good idea to watch the following short videos at the links provided below; and read the article, third link below, as a prerequisite if one does not understand the double slit experiment or basic quantum physics.

Dr. Granville Dharmawardena of the University of Colombo writes that psychologists often speak of the mind and the body as two separate entities for convenience, but most acknowledge that they are intimately entwined. Yet none knows exactly how or how intimately. So the mind body problem keeps stubbornly resisting a definite solution. Philosopher John Searle (Mills Professor of Philosophy, University of California, and Berkley) says that today’s philosophers are reluctant to tackle such big problems as how people have been trying to understand their relationship to the universe.

All these refer to the elusive relationship between the body and the mind referred to more generally as the brain-mind problem. The brain-mind relationship has baffled mankind for a very long time.  One main reason for this is that it was not considered as a candidate for scientific study until recently.

Psychology and related sciences were able to continue for many years by either ignoring the brain entirely or at best treating it as a black box whose rules of operation could be understood without reference to its internal contents or composition.

The human brain without doubt is the most complex organ in the known universe.  It is physical and biological. Therefore, it has to be amenable to scientific probing without the intervention of such considerations as the Gödel’s theorem, which states that there are statements in mathematical systems which are true but cannot be proven within those systems.

Consciousness on the other hand is neither physical nor biological. Therefore, it is a more elusive subject to deal with and Gödel’s considerations may have a role to play there. Attempts to understand brain and consciousness have been mostly based on restrictive Newtonian classical science and exclusively the material realm composed of matter.

Although the powers of understanding of human senses and the scope of Newtonian science are limited to three spatial dimensions, the scope of our universe is not limited to three dimensions. In fact, news theories hypothesize there are eleven dimensions.  Many of the natural phenomena happening within our universe transcend the three dimension scene. Therefore, it is not possible to assume that the mechanisms of operation of the brain and consciousness remain imprisoned within the confines of Isaac Newton’s three dimensional material universe.  Just as the Earth was proved not to be the center of the universe, our current theories that govern our physical universe such as Einstein’s gravity theory and others may become obsolete in our understanding of reality.

Attempts to understand the brain-mind problem within Newton’s universe over centuries have introduced divisions and concepts that have become detrimental to having a new look at it from the point of view of modern science, more specifically quantum mechanics. .  Just as the Earth was proved not to be the center of the universe, our current theories that govern our physical universe such as Einstein’s gravity theory and others may become obsolete in our understanding of reality.  For example, astrophysicist can only account for about 10% of the matter in the universe.  Dark matter was invented to account for the other 90%, but no one knows if dark matter even exists.  Could it be that our theories are really 90% wrong, dark matter doesn’t exist, and there are actually other things that are beyond our current comprehensive ability that determine our perception of our universe and reality?  Most likely, yes.

In trying to interpret the mechanisms of operation of the human brain and developing a model for consciousness that explain all practical observations, it is necessary first of all to jettison traditional thinking and clean up the mess created by human genius.  It is also necessary to enlist all the observed properties of the brain and consciousness and ensure that the developed model explains all of them.

There is general agreement that the seat of consciousness is the brain in Human beings. We can go along with this concept. Philosopher Colin McGinn (Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University, New Jersey the USA) introduces a property of the brain of which the brain is the basis of consciousness and a theory which fully explains the dependence of conscious states on brain states. He adds that if we knew the theory, then we have a constructive solution to the mind-body problem.

It is reasonable to consider a property of the brain, but it is not possible at this stage to shut the possibility that, as Nobel Laureate Neurobiologist Sir John Eccles points out, the scope of consciousness may not remain limited within the confines of the human skull.  This is especially so because many of our practical observations and those of many others clearly show that consciousness, at times, can remain completely dis-embodied.  We can hence, focus our attention on understanding three factors, the nature of consciousness, the property of the brain that enables consciousness to operate within the brain, and a model that explains the behavior of the brain and consciousness as practically observed.

The brain, which is material, has received much attention over a very long period from both classical and modern scientists. The classical science explanation of the structure and the mechanisms of operation of the brain is easily accessible through medical and biology text books.

The brain consists of about 1.3 kg. of gray matter which is made up of hundreds  of billions of specialized cells known as neurons which have electrical properties akin to those of transistor circuits in computers. Like in transistor circuits these cells are interconnected and there are trillions of such neuron-neuron connections in the brain. Like in transistor circuits electrical signals are transmitted through neurons by unidirectional electrical pulses which are excited, modulated, or inhibited by pulses in other neurons, and passed on to other neurons.

However, there are differences. In transistor circuits electrical pulses are transmitted across the circuits by the migration of electrons at an enormous velocity of half the speed of light, where as in neurons, electrical pulses are transmitted by the movement of ions which are much heavier than electrons, at a much slower maximum speed of 120 meters per second (mps). This speed is not fast enough to account for the speed of human actions. The interneuron links are established through biochemical junctions, through which signals are passed from one neuron to another by the release of ions. In transistor circuits, all connections are exclusively electrical.   The brain interprets signals from the senses and creates images in the brain that are the individual’s perception of reality.

For example, when we see an object, our eyes take in light through the lens of the eye and invert the light image onto the back of the eyeball where the light is converted to electrical energy and transmitted to the visual centers of the brain by the optic nerve.   If the optic nerve is severed, the image in the visual center of the brain disappears. Also, if the object makes a noise, our sense of hearing picks up the noise from vibrations in air and converts these vibrations into electrical impulses that are transmitted by the cochlear nerves to the brain.  If the cochlear nerve is severed, the nerves ceases to transmit to the brain and the person will hear nothing from the object.

The brain is the most complex and most important organ in the human body, and it is a voracious consumer of energy, consuming ten times more energy per unit mass as compared to other body organs. Failure to supply energy to the brain for a few minutes can cause substantial brain damage and ultimate brain death. The variety of different proteins expressed in neurons is about 30,000. This is greater than in any other body organ.

The importance of understanding the structure and mechanisms of operation of the brain prompted President George Bush of the USA to proclaim the 1990’s as the decade of the brain. EEG (Electro Encephelo Graph) was the original technique used to study brain mechanisms. Three new techniques, PET (Positron Emission Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and Magneto Encephelography have come into use in studying brain mechanisms during the last decade.  As a result, we understand the functioning of the brain much better today than a couple of decades ago.

The slow electrical pulses moving at a maximum speed of 120 mps may, perhaps, be adequate to account for some of the involuntary functions inside the human body. But they are certainly not adequate to account for the speed of human activities that involve computing and the mind. The similarities between the computer circuits and the brain cells have driven brain researchers to construct computer models for the brain. Initially, they tried serial computers, and then to account for the speed, parallel computers came into play. Today, computer models dominate most brain research, but are still no match for the human brain.

However, computer models are many orders of magnitude slower than needed to account for the speed of thought. A Neurologist has calculated that if the brain was a standard serial or a parallel computer, it would take more time than the age of the universe to perform all the necessary calculations associated with just one perceptual event. But if the brain were a quantum computer, it would try out all the various possible combinations of data arrangement at once, and thus, unify its experience.   So, in essence, the brain operates very similar to how science theorizes a quantum computer to work even though quantum computers do not yet exist.

Many who research on the brain-mind problem proceed with a prior assumption that consciousness is an emergent property of the brain, but quantum physics indicates that consciousness is related to the awareness that an electron appears to show in the wave/particle duality (double slit experiment).  Quantum physicists have shown that the electron behaves differently when being observed by a human.

When the electron is not being observed, the electron behaves like a wave, but when an observing instrument is placed in the experiment, the electron behaves like a particle.   This experience indicates that the electron will change its behavior/reality depending on whether or not the electron is being observed as if the electron is aware that it is being observed.  This awareness is very similar, if not the same, as human awareness and may be related to the same consciousness.

Some researchers consider consciousness as another property, emerging as a result of trillions of electrical pulses shuttling across the brain.  According to this, consciousness is only a property and not an entity. John Searle introduces consciousness as a natural biological phenomenon that does not fit comfortably into either of the traditional categories of mental and physical, caused by lower level micro processors in the brain. However, on the basis of practical observations made by cutting edge scientists, these assumptions have been rejected and now consciousness is regarded as a non-material entity capable of independent eternal existence similar to the electron in the double slit experiment.  Hence, consciousness can change reality just by being aware.

Observations on OBE (Out of Body Experience) and NDE (Near Death Experience ) show that while the body is in an anaesthetized or inactive state, consciousness can remain dis-embodied, observe events from outside the body, and later re-localize in the brain. After the body renormalizes, the person can relate what his consciousness observed and heard from an out of body location while the body was inactive. Other experiments have shown that consciousness can leave a dying person, float around observing things and events and later, as Eccles had pointed out, attach itself to an unborn fetus to start a new existence as another individual.

Consciousness is, therefore, a non-material entity capable of independent, eternal existence, and not a property. Consciousness is not emergent, and is eternal similar to the electron. It can remain localized in the human brain and interact with the brain, and thereby, control the activities of the human body.  While electrons in the brain behave as particles, these electrons prevent the consciousness from realizing that it is part of a larger whole.  When the electrons behave as a wave, the consciousness becomes aware of its existence outside the human mind, which makes OBE and NDE possible.

Whenever the electron wave function collapses, the OBE and NDE ends and the person returns to their physical body and its perception of reality similar to the collapsing of the wave function in the double slit experiment in quantum physics.  During the OBE and NDE while the electron is behaving as a wave function, consciousness can leave the brain and go into an independent floating existence outside the human body where it can travel independent of space-time similar to the entangled electron.

This behavior of consciousness is akin to the behavior of an electron in and out of an atom.  The electron, which is a quantum entity, can remain localized inside an atom by quantum mechanical interaction with the electromagnetic field around the atomic nucleus, which itself is quantum in nature so long as the energy of the atom’s quantum state it occupies matches the energy possessed by the electron. Whenever the energy of the electron does not match, it has to shift to another matching state.  In this case the property that localizes the electron inside the atom, the nature of the electron, and the relevant atomic model are well known in quantum physics. All these are quantum in nature.  Let us consider the nature of consciousness, the property of the brain, and a model that satisfactorily solves the brain-mind problem.

Nature of Consciousness

Defining consciousness has been considered as a frightfully difficult problem. Does the word “Consciousness” have one single meaning or does it have two meanings like the words “bank” and “palm”.

Quantum Physicist, Danah Zohar, describes consciousness as something that includes general capacity for awareness and purposive response. By this description, she accepts the above two meanings of the word consciousness. Roger Penrose refers to these as active consciousness and passive consciousness.

When a person is awake, information about his/her surroundings is presented to his/her brain by his/her sense organs. The brain processes and computes millions of bits of information presented to it every second by the sensory organs and presents the processed information to consciousness.  At this time, electrons in the brain behave as particles.

Through this process, consciousness remains aware of the surroundings and we say that the person is s-conscious of his/her surroundings. When this link between consciousness and the surroundings is interrupted and consciousness is not able to be aware of events in its surroundings, but is aware of events in a dream state, we say that the person is s-unconsciousness. It has been found that when a stimulus is presented to a sensory organ of an anaesthetized, all brain processes relevant to that stimulus takes place as if he/she is not anesthetized. Physicist and Pharmacologist Susan Greenfield (Professor of Pharmacology at Oxford University and Professor of Physics at Gresham College, London) points out that none has yet pointed to a single event that occurs in awake but not in anaesthetized brain.

Hence, when a person becomes s-unconscious, the property severs the link between consciousness and the brain turning on the electron wave function.  During this event, consciousness can dis-embody and observe events in the surroundings directly without the help of sensory organs, keep them in memory and relate what was seen, after consciousness returns to the body and re-established links with the brain.  The dis-embodied consciousness possesses visual, auditory, and olfactory senses.  While dis-embodied, the consciousness experiences a new perception of reality outside of one’s self, I-ness, or oneness.

When the person then becomes s-conscious, the wave function collapses and the electron instantly changes from a wave to that of a particle preventing the person from being aware of being part of the whole.  This gives rise to oneness, I-ness, and self.

It has been shown using such techniques as PET and MRI that the above process of receiving data from a stimulus by a sensory organ, transmitting them to the brain, computing and processing the data, and passing the processed data to consciousness, can be reversed by hypnotizing a person. When a hypnotherapist suggests, for example, that he/she is seeing red light to a hypnotized subject, all above processes take place in the brain as if the subject is actually seeing red light.  The consciousness gives the brain a perception of reality that is different from the hypnotherapist’s perception of reality similarly to an observer in the example of general relativity where one observer on Earth watches another travel away at the speed of light.  To the traveling observer, his perception of reality is different than the observer watching from Earth, and as a result, his experience of time is different than the observer on Earth.

The ability of a person to describe what his/her consciousness had observed or heard while it is in a dis-embodied state makes us to believe that memory is, at least partly, non-material and unaffected by collapsing the wave function.

Several decades ago, David Bohm pointed out many striking similarities between the behavior of our thought processes and that of some quantum processes. For example, while entertaining a vague train of thought, the act of concentrating on one in order to bring it into better focus, changes the original sequence. Like electrons governed by Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, which are never the same again once they have been looked at or measured, a thought which has been highlighted through attention is different from the vague musing which preceded it. The focused thought has “position” like the particle aspect of an electron’s two sided nature (wave/particle duality), whereas the vague musing has “momentum” like the electron’s wave aspect.   We can never experience both simultaneously. This is a characteristic feature of a quantum entity.  The electron is a wave or a particle, and the perception of reality by an observer changes with the behavior of the electron and observer awareness.

Quantum systems are essentially unified, and so are our thought processes. David Bohm says, “Thought processes and quantum systems are analogous in that they cannot be analyzed too much in terms of distinct elements, because the intrinsic nature of each element is not a property existing separately from and independently of other elements, but is instead a property that arises partially from its relation with other elements.”

Danah Zohar analyzed the quantum like behavior and concludes that consciousness functions according to the laws of quantum mechanics.

We can conclude that consciousness is a quantum mechanical entity that can have an independent existence. It can localize in the human brain when the electron is in a particle state.  This provides the necessary quantum mechanical base conducive for it to interact with and function in the brain. When the state changes to that of a wave, consciousness takes flight and starts floating. It takes away with it at least a part of the contents of the memory. It possesses the ability to acquire visual, auditory and olfactory information in spite of the fact that there are no sense organs associated with it.  This information is produced by the consciousness projection of a different reality caused by the change in state of the electron, which one may interpret later as a dream or hallucination that comes from an altered perception of reality.

In most attempts to solve the mind-body problem, it is assumed that computers can be used to simulate or model mental and neuro-biological processes in the brain and this can explain consciousness. Roger Penrose (Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics, Oxford University) points out that quantum mechanics and Gödel’s theorem makes us reject these assumptions concerning a different reality.

John Searle points out that a brain made of neurons is aware of what it is dealing with, whereas, a computer modeled to simulate some activity of the brain cannot be aware of what is being dealt with inside it.  Therefore, using a computer model is like comparing apples to oranges.  In most standard brain models, the mind is believed to emerge from trillions of signals shuttling across billions of neurons in the brain. A brain structured on mechanical principles cannot account for the property that can create s-consciousness by interacting with consciousness.

Recent EEG experiments carried out by a team of physicists at Southampton University ( England ) confirms that thought processes are quantum in nature. Here, the effect of measuring right and left brain activity on a left brain task was tested.  They found that measuring left brain EEG improves performance whereas measuring right brain EEG disrupts it.  In another experiment it has been found that measuring the left brain EEG makes a right hand activity more accurate.

The major stumbling block in solving the brain-mind problem is how does the brain-mind bind together millions of dissimilar neuron activities into an experience of a perceptual whole. How does the “I” or “self” or the perceived wholeness of one’s world emerge from a system consisting of so many parts, billions of neurons. What creates the “Oneness” of thought processes? What creates individuality and I-ness or “self”? What creates feelings, free will, and creativity?  The eternal consciousness.

No mechanistic system consisting of separate interacting parts could give rise to the above. What are the structures in the brain that create the property which grant us access to the quantum realm?  This is a good question and once this is known by all mankind, mankind will change.

It has become clear that to explain this theory, one has to consider the most highly ordered and highly unified structures possible in the universe. The structure that possesses both characters, the most highly ordered and most highly unified is the Bose-Einstein condensate.

In classical science, the most ordered structure that we can find is the Crystal. Crystals are rigid, immovable structures. In Bose-Einstein condensates, the quantum properties allow both a “fluid” order and a high degree of unity. Each particle in a Bose-Einstein condensate fills all the space and all the time in whatever container that holds the condensate. Many of their characteristics are correlated. They behave holistically as one. The condensate acts as one single particle. There is no “noise” or interference between separate parts. This is why super fluids and super conductors have their special frictionless qualities and lasers become so coherent. Super conductors, super fluids, and lasers are Bose-Einstein condensates. The photons of a laser beam overlap their boundaries and behave as one single photon and the whole system can be described by a single equation.  Hence, the part always includes the whole like in fractal geometry.

Super conductors, super fluids, and lasers are either very low temperature or very high energy systems.  Super conductors and super fluids loose their quantum coherence long before they reach room temperature.  Quantum coherence at body temperature in body cells was found by Herbert Frolich.  Prior to that, quantum physicist Fritz Popp discovered that biological tissue emits a weak glow when stimulated at the right energy levels.

Cell walls of biological tissue contain countless proteins and fat molecules which are electrical dipoles. When a cell is at rest, these dipoles are out of phase and arrange themselves in a haphazard way. But when they are stimulated they begin to oscillate or jiggle intensely and broadcast a tiny microwave signal. Frolich found that when the energy flowing through the cell reaches a certain critical level, all the cell wall molecular dipoles line up and come into phase. They oscillate in unison as though they are suddenly coordinated. This emergent quantum field is a Bose-Einstein condensate and has holistic properties common to any quantum field.  Consciousness works in a similar matter.

Dana Zohar points out that ion channel oscillations in neurons are quantum phenomena which generate a Frolich like coherent electric field. There are ion channels (protein molecules) lining the membrane walls of individual neurons, which open or close in response to electrical fluctuations resulting from stimulation. They act like gates to let Sodium, Potassium, and other ions pass through.

They are of a size to be subject to quantum fluctuations and superposition. Each channel, as it oscillates, generates a tiny electric field. When a large number of ion channels (there are 10 million in each neuron) open and close in unison, as they do when stimulated, the whole neuron fires or oscillates and a large scale electric field is generated across the neuron. Certain neurons act as pace makers. When a pacemaker neuron oscillates in response to stimulation, whole bundles of neurons oscillate with it. A finding by a neurobiologist that when a person sees an object, all neurons in the Cerebral Cortex, associated with that perceptual object, oscillates in unison regardless of their location in the brain.  These neurons behave similar to entangled electrons.

Danah Zohar suggests that the original ion channel oscillations are quantum phenomena; which, as in Frolich systems, generates a coherent quantum electric field. It is a Bose-Einstein condensate. Existence of such large scale coherent electrical fields across the brain explains how a large number of disparate and distant neurons can integrate their information to produce a holistic picture, hologram. The quantum entanglement proof that has been developed fairly recently says that non-local (instantaneous or faster than light) quantum correlations exists between particles apparently separated in space and time has helped scientists to understand these effects. Quantum entanglement, also called the quantum non-local connection, is a property of a quantum mechanical state of a system of two or more objects in which the quantum states of the constituting objects are linked together so that one object can no longer be adequately described without full mention of its counterpart—even if the individual objects are spatially separated in a space-like  manner.

The crucial distinguishing feature of Bose-Einstein condensate is that many parts which go to make up the ordered system not only behave as a whole, but they become whole.   There identities merge and overlap in such a way that they lose their individuality entirely. This is a quantum property. Such a large quantum synchronicity exists in and accounts for the special properties of lasers, super conductors, and super fluids. Only this type of quantum correlated condensed state could explain the unbroken wholeness of the thought process.  Consciousness behaves as a fractal.  This is similar to a hologram where small fractal parts are identical to the whole part.

The property of the brain which is the non-local quantum correlate or the Bose-Einstein condensate behaves as above. It creates a unity from the diverse bits of information drawing them to a meaningful whole. The millions of sensory data from sense organs received every moment are channeled to various disparate areas of the brain and processed by the computing facility of the brain. Consciousness receives this processed information and creates a holistic scene, hologram. It is this integration of all the processed bits of information to create a one whole that creates the identity as a person, the self or the I-ness. Here is the coherent non-local quantum correlation of the brain and it is an emergent property.

The Body-Brain and Consciousness Model

From the above considerations, it is possible to propose a three tier model for Body- Brain and consciousness, where the brain is sandwiched between the body and consciousness.  Here the brain-body link is mechanical and it is fairly well understood from classical science considerations. Body and brain operate in Einstein’s space-time domain where non-locality is forbidden.

Thebrain consciousness link is established by the property which links the brain to the quantum domain where nonlocality can operate.  As previously discussed, non-locality is a direct influence of one object on another distant object, and the distant object can be so far away that it would be impossible for influence to take place according to Newtonian theories.   This indicates that non-locality is independent of space-time.

Consciousness is a non-material entity in the quantum domain that is capable of independent existence.  Consciousness can remain localized in the brain so long as the emergent quantum particle state doe not change, just as an electron which is a quantum entity can remain localized in an atom so long as the energy of the electron matches the quantum state it occupies.

Now this gets very interesting.  Whenever the property breaks down, the mathematical function that governs the behavior of quantum particles changes, i.e. the electrons changes its behavior from that of a particle to a wave function.  When this happens in the brain, consciousness can leave the brain and take up a floating existence in the way an electron leaves its atom if it acquires excess energy and starts a floating existence as a free electron. Consciousness can return to the brain if the property is re-established and the wave function collapses and the particle function prevails.

Conclusions

This model explains all the observed properties of human consciousness including NDE, OBE and reincarnation. Since all information transfer in a non-local quantum correlation is instantaneous, just like the speed of an electron and light is instantaneous, it explains the speed of human action. It can be extended to explain phenomena such as telepathy and also explains the individual identity, or the I-ness or self.

As the human race becomes aware of their true ability, a realization will set in that the oneness, self, and I-ness associated with greed and capitalism are not compatible with human evolution.  This awareness will cause humanity to evolve to a higher level of consciousness; which is beginning to happen in society today, where oneness, self, and I-ness will battle for survival.  Oneness, self, and I-ness as well as greed and capitalism in its current form will cease to exist as the population becomes aware as humanity is enlightened.  The emerging mankind will work toward the betterment of all and human suffering will cease to exist.

All it will take for this leap in human evolution to occur is mankind to open up their minds, become enlightened and aware of their true potential as a whole in part of the whole.  As more become aware of this conscious ability that has no boundaries in space-time just like electrons have no boundaries, mankind will reach a point of awareness that will cause an instantaneous change in humanity comparable to the instantaneous change of an electron from a particle to a wave.  Mankind is on the pioneering edge of the greatest evolutionary change revealed to date as most of us are oblivious, unaware, and confused by our desire to understand ourselves.

  1. Is this a scientific explanation for God?

Is God the consciousness that creates the universe and we are all part of the consciousness?

    These are interesting questions.

The problems with humans is that our DNA will not allow us to be fully aware of our consciousness just like an animal’s DNA prevents the animal from being aware of itself. Humans are aware of themselves, but our DNA prevents us from being aware that consciousness exists separately from the human body. The next step is to be aware of consciousness and the fact that our perception of reality isn’t real at all, just a projection by our consciousness of our perceived reality.

Humans are on the edge of discovering this hidden secret about life. Once we become aware, we will be awakened, and we will tap into the universal consciousness that some interpret as God. Do not be afraid, but rejoice.

The problem right now is that most of us have to dream or die to experience eternal universal consciousness, but that is going to change soon. Some are beginning to tap into it through remote viewing, meditation, and other drug induced methods. The US military has been trying to weaponize the use of these techniques for over 50 years, and may have succeeded. That is why this topic is so widely addressed in television. We are being desensitized so that we do not fear and cause widespread panic. Fear and panic are illusions caused by the brain and once you realize this, the fear and panic goes away.

Once we all realize that we are all part of the consciousness, and that it is this consciousness that causes quantum particles to exist in our universe in the first place, humans should be able to find a way to rise or evolve to another level of consciousness.

Hang on for the ride, it’s going to be bumpy, but there is nothing to fear. Remember, fear is an illusion caused by our DNA that causes our brains to interpret electrical signals a certain way. Once you realize this, it will set you free. Fear was not placed in our DNA without a purpose. Fear keeps us alive and prevents us from risking our lives. Without fear, most of us would not live past five years because we would do something so risky that it would cost us our life.

The Bible says that God created man in God’s image. Therefore, if God is eternal universal consciousness, then man is also eternal universal consciousness. Matter in our physical world has nothing to do with it. Life is like a roller coaster ride and it is meant to be fun, so enjoy it because it has an end; but our consciousness does not. Only the meat sack that temporarily holds your consciousness dies and it is just that, mostly a water and organic matter, meat sack.

The body is like the roller coaster car in the roller coaster ride. Just like the roller coaster car holds our body inside throughout the ride, the body holds in our consciousness through the ride of life.

The human body is nothing more than a bunch of quantum particles arranged in such a way that it provides a place where consciousness can reside to experience the material, physical world at a specific consciousness level. Think of the human body as an adjustable spray nozzle on the end of a hose with consciousness flowing through the hose. Right now, the nozzle is at the low setting and only a little consciousness is allowed out of the hose. We are about to instantly adjust to the next higher setting (level of consciousness), and more consciousness is getting ready to flow. The shift to the next setting will be instantaneous and will be caused by an event that is coming soon.

Our reality is similar to the MATRIX, but it is not an evil computer that is manipulating humans. It is our universal consciousness that is projecting our physical reality by causing quantum particles to vibrate in-phase. Turn-off the consciousness and the quantum particles stop vibrating and all matter evaporates and ceases to exist. This isn’t going to happen because nothing can turn-off consciousness because consciousness is eternal. Consciousness exists everywhere. Consciousness may be what causes the universe to expand in an accelerating fashion. Consciousness is accelerating the holographic projections out into space and creating space time and matter.

The hologram that is our universe is real. Sounds crazy, I know, but this will be proven soon, and it is starting to be proven here and now. Read these article about the Hadron Collider Physicist who believes he has found proof that our physical reality is a holographic projection from a singularity.

    http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg20126911.300-our-world-may-be-a-giant-hologram.html?full=true

I am afraid when the Hadron Collider becomes operational in late 2012 or some other event around that time will occur that will cause us all to see an instantaneous quantum phase shift similar to turning the station on a radio. For example, one can only tune in a radio to one station at a time, and when one changes the frequency, the station and programming changes.

When our universe quantum phase shifts, our perception of reality will change as all the matter that comprises our reality begins to vibrate at a different frequency than all matter does right now. When this happens, we cease to exist in this reality and appear in a different reality/universe similar to how the radio station changes when you turn the dial. In this new universe, consciousness exists on a higher level. Who knows what this other universe that exists out there now holds for us trapped in the human cage. We will all find out, dead or alive, but it would be nice to see it from a human point of view. What a spectacular show. Life is a vacation away from the universal consciousness. Enjoy all of the love and life you can. That is why we are here. We are here to experience oneness, I-ness, and self, and once we evolve to the higher consciousness, we will lose the independent properties that make us all unique, individual human creatures.

So, if the galactic alignment causes a big catastrophe, some live and many die, it really doesn’t matter now does it; because as the quantum shift occurs, our reality changes, we become aware that we our part of a bigger picture, and we realize we are eternal everlasting beings independent of matter, space, time, and the universe. What a nice thought!

Sometimes I wonder does materialist essentially imply annihilationist. Incidentally, according to Buddhism Consciousness ceases at ‘Nibbana’. See: http://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/dn/dn.15.0.than.html. By the way what do u do? Are you doing some sort of research on this subject.

That was literally the most profound and epic description of our human experience I have ever heard. You are right about science begining to see the hologram concept but even that won’t remain static. First we humans thought the Earth was on the back of a giant turtle. Flash forward and we are a computer simulation and or a hologram. There will always be a Next concept because our consciousness will change as will everything.

was the above written by a PHD or someone working on a SUPER PHD. answer this, Does light travel at a constant speed or does light travel at varying speed while outside an atmosphere of a body of mass??

    March 18, 2010 at 3:01 pm

    • Constant speed is constant speed. Right, Constantspeed? Consciousness is not matter or energy, so it doesn’t obey any law. It is the law. Don’t get busted.

Thats honestly exactly what I’ve been thinking about recently. I’ve been confused as to exactly what the Tao is. It seems now that it is the natural laws of the universe, but no matter how much we try depict the effects and functions of those laws we still don’t know what the law is itself. It seems like the laws of the universe naturally bring about unity. As far as I can see life is the highest form of unity that exists, the perfect union between matter and energy. And among life the quiescent mind which is in complete unity with itself and everything is the highest form of unity possible. Of course we are going to ignore our corruption of the nature’s structured ecosystems for theoretical purposes i guess.
The Tao Teh Ching roughly says (I’m too lazy to find the chapter) that when one cultivates the Tao in oneself (or otherwise by following the natural law cultivate unity in oneself) one has the ability through his natural goodness to spread that harmony to his family, and thus to his town and so on until it has engulfed the entire nation or something (I’m doing a bad job with the paraphrasing). In essence he forms a triad with heaven and earth (heaven being yang, energy, and the active natural law and earth being yin, matter, and the passive principle). The function of man in this triad is to maintain, strengthen and spread unity aka life (ironic am I right?). So: the natural law naturally promotes unity, what I’m trying to say is that the human consciousness (being the highest form of unity itself) is in fact an amplification of that ability to effect unity. I believe this is both on the physical and the metaphysical level: on the physical level being the actual protection and maintenance of life (the highest form of unity), and on the metaphysical level in that the quiescent human consciousness strengthens the unity of the universal consciousness by simply being. Of course the physical unity is necessary for the metaphysical unity to really flourish, as they are dependent on each other. So its exactly as you say, consciousness is in fact a law itself, or possibly a more effective concentrated amplification of the natural law (to effect unity).
I didn’t explain what I meant very well (i’m half asleep…), but I hope you read this, whether or not the exact physics of this article is in fact correct I think overall you’re entirely right. Thanks a lot for the article, it helped me re enforce my doubtful belief in any sort of existence after death.

the speed of light changes depending on the topology of space time / environment its passing through. BoseEinstien condensate expiements have succesfulyl slowed light down to nearly a stop, and also its know that when the universe was half its current ‘relative’ size, light had twice the potential speed, since the points ‘potential’ were twice as close together. just after the big bang, light was nearly infinite, as thier wasnt much space/time to travle through. As the expansion progressed, light slowed down, and the fundamental properties of the system began to change.Ie it cooled / mass came about and new forces ie gravity began to manifest causing further changes in the system.empathy. Also we have learned ‘through quantum mechanics research, that as in particle entanglement, a photon can be in 2 places at once, both its point of origen and its destination. Another fact is symply by observing the system, u cause a change in the system, :ie wave/particle “a photon. Our awarenes can see the particle and measures “speed, however when no ones looking, thier is no particle, but a wave, and this wave has no locality in space time, which gets into the heisenburg principal. Also keep in mind that all the matter/energy ‘photons and all other particles, were once in a common place during the ‘big crunch, and is therorized that all particles have an entangled partner. Then again, were just learning that were restricted in our observations to seeing only a particular dimmension, and we still dont understand time / and gravity. However this must be true- From the universe, came this thing we describe ourselves to be. conciousness. and it cant yet be defined mathmaticly, the universe brought us here. accident / purpose. either way shows something incredible. if its an accident. that means i can randomly through a bunch of potential energy into some environment, come back many billions of years in the time dimension, and find you. thats awsome.im personaly in Awwe everyday since awakening to knowing the universe did something like.
or the answer goes the other way. And im still in awwe lol . Seems the whole cosmos is a living thing. a concious entity that makes up the sum of all dimmensions. The entirety of the energy is this things body. a rediculusly complex liveing system. the symetricaal reflection that stems from sacred geometry- look at the complexity of our own living system. the eco system. then thiers the human body- another incredable living system, and then thier are millions of other little living systems. every living system just part of another system. mathmaticly the atom was discoverd. it was questioned that either something can become infinatly small, or u reach the smallest point somewhere. no electron microscopes back then, just imagination. and they discoverd it. atomos. i wonder if it also could go to say that thier must also be the biggest system, thats to say no longer are thier any systems, you have reached some supreme body. the sum of all parts, is it awake. if its not, then what am i. how could i be awake, and the universe not? . i mean if its not awake, then i default to the position of being the univverses conciousnes. another symetrical reflection of this ultimat body, that self aware.I can tell u personaly the universe is too organized for something so complex as us to be without some purpose. Without conciousnes thier couldnt be purpose, since its just another aspect of perception, that comes from conciousness lol. ahh face palm..

As one who studied Quantum Mechanics and Neuro-electrical technological research, I’m shocked at the lack of scientific rigor in these claims. Every paragraph has unscientific and logical flaws to make Lord of the Rings look like Newton’s Principia so I’ll only name a few less embarrassing ones so the author can save face.

    Claim
“Consciousness is a non-material entity in the quantum domain that is capable of independent existence”

    1) This begs its own question. If Consciousness is a non-material entity, it is not a scientific observation. It is a prediction on its own theory, lie magnetic monopoles. Until it is observed, it cannot be scientifically supported. By definition it is “non-material” so it cannot be observed or falsified, much like God. It’s a mighty religious claim but not science. Thus anything that flows from it is not science.

    2) “in the Quantum domain” is a loaded description that sounds cool but has no meaning. A charitable interpretation is to say “Consciousness can be described in a subset of principles Quantum Theory” That just says consciousness is something in the universe Quantum Theory seeks to describes. Okay great, but so is an apple and my dog’s breath. It gives no relevant information. Sounds catchy but a sneaky way of making things sound scientific when it’s not.

    3) Consciousness is not fully understood by scientists and definitely nowhere near the level required to hold the website’s claims. While discussed by philosophers before Socrates, science has only begun to scratch the surface of Brain functions. The EGG electric wave forms of the human brain are so unpredictable and inconsistent there is barely standard way of detecting when you have to pee, let alone what you’re thinking based on electrical signals alone. Researchers have made breakthroughs like using a computer chip to supress seizures and flash colors to the blind using ocular implants but consciousness is way out of left field. You have better luck asking a kid at a lemonade stand to tell you about market trends in the food industry than using current science to discover “consciousness” in the way described here. Unless the author is defining consciousness as “the state of being awake” this is weaker than cotton candy rope.

It’s a sad day when people are lulled into unsupported and sometimes dangerous beliefs that disguise themselves as science to exploit others. While it’s not new, like “the Secret”, to make religious claims sound scientific to prey on those who feel tension between their scientific and religious beliefs, it’s certainly prevalent. Only when we uncover these false assumptions and flaws can we really protect ourselves from being lulled by dangerous ideologies.

Yes, consciousness is not fully understood. What is? There are no absolutes in science.

it would seem thiers another symetricy at play, thiers a mathmatical side that has solidity and can be measured . ie a particle. then thiers the more confusing aspect of the wave which gets into quantum mechanics and math that just doesnt fit into the same math reletivity corrlates too. lots of theories out thier, but its still being worked, the problems of the standard model. So much can get lost in theory i agree, but at one time thats all our ppl had, and those theories carried us through the darkness. just because it seems we have made it a long way, doesnt mean that the cenario is any different. we have realy just begun learning of extra dimensions, devoloping quantum theories for gravity, discovering what gravitomagnitism is, and dark matter. it seems its so complex , may as well give in to all the theories and just discredit the whole system. quantum machanics shows energy, with non locality. particle entanglment shows further this nonlocality effect, ie no position in space time.Matter also does not posses any kind of solidity. u may cross refrence all that . just like an electron never has a fixed position around an atom. And classicle physics shows us thier can be no perpetual types of motion, and yet an electron never runs into its nucleas ie’ the sattilite never crashes to earth cenario. from a relativistic scale, that satalite falls to earth.or leaves it, thier will be a change in velocity or acceleration over time” the orbit of an electron never decays, its energy is conserved, and yet violates no know laws of physics. Why are atoms not thought of as alive, my computer isnt alive. however if i observer a living system under an electron microscope”a cell” is made of these atoms as well. i imagine lots of little atoms holding hands, and zooming out to see something alive. is thier a point in the structure where the sum of all the parts is considerd to be “not alive, then how is the system it gives rise to ultimatly alive? If im made entirely of things that are not alive, then how can i be considerd to be alive. Your telling me millions and billions and trillions. and octillions of rocks can be pilled ie <particle / atoms" in some way that eventualy im building a concious entity. and yet somehow the universe has done just that. It has my attention. Note some of the greatest findings came from taking a wrong turn. and dont forget that many theories have at least some fundamental property that is a "known law or mathmatical represention- ie some kind of foundation that at least in the most elaborate of theories thier are,is some componet of this "known erea. its like using a light to light up the darness. Even the knownn laws still fall into a theoretical subset that tries to explain something we know nothing about. we just have a small light at the momment. until a grand theory of everything comes about, and is taken from theory to law because we can finaly prove it, everything that we know is just some theory based upon imperical data in some observable system that becomes changed when its observed. / a system that is never seperate, from its observer.thier are no know properties of any measurement that does not include something taking that measurement. Plz as respectfully as i can imply, would hope never to discourage embracing theories into our personal understanding of this thing were apart of. Its the only light we have in the grand darknes. I appriciate every scholar and enthusiest, and anyone in the whole world that helps to contribute to this wanderfull pool of data. its absolutly amazing. Rock on with theories and ideas and intricate insight. imagination ftw. < but then again even thats as immiterial as conciousness itself, so i gues ill just dismiss the whole thing lol— no way brother. everything is a theory untill we have the grand theory of everything. thanks for pointing out the obvious tho =p

Very interesting concepts! I would consider the possibility of using the quantum waves that flow from the consciousness to separate atomic particles at that level. Separating and not splitting atomic particles would provide a portal or window to dimensional travel. To visualize this imagine placing your hand in a body of water entering the world of marine life, that is their world you now enter. You are correct that eleven dimensions exist by separating the atomic structures like a “zipper” in matter would allow one to enter or return from that dimension. This concept was studied by Einstein but as you stated the “proof” requires expansion of our understanding of our universe on the quantum level.

    December 8, 2010 at 4:52 pm

    • If you like this. My next publication is on the theory of everything and explains how the quantum and macro worlds exist, how consciousness is related to their existence, where Einstein went wrong and how hyperspeed and hyperspace are more real than our perception of reality.

I thought the article was very interesting, especially the way you merged scientific data to back what may be your personal belief. I’m not at all bashing your article, after all, that’s what scientists do: gather evidence in order to prove a theory.

I just thought some ideas were a bit of a stretch. After all, who’s to say that the perception of a different dimension is necessarily a good thing? Who’s to say it’s a road to enlightment and the end of all suffering? It could perfectly well be just like another sci-fi horror novel. Much like you I EXPECT it to be an evolution, but there’s really no evidence to support that.

I also don’t believe that the statements made in the article really explain God. It is a wonderful explanation to the process of the evolution of the conscience, but I don’t really see the link between the content and the existance of a creator. If the collective consciouness concept is indeed a reality, it explains the afterlife and, to an extent, the existance of the universe. What I believe is not included is the idea of how it all came to be in the first place and where it’s going which, in my opinion, are the greatest questions asked that so far can only be explained by faith and nothing else. It’s very good to have some evidence to back up an optimistic view of the future, but looking at the bigger picture, it’s hard to get a sense of purpose in the cycle.

But, of course, I don’t expect your article to be the answer of all the mysteries of life. It is indeed very good work. I specially liked the idea of how if you’re omnipresent and eternal both to the future and the past, the notions of “time” and “space” simply cease to exist.

Looking forward to your next article.

You should have a look at the work of Thomas Campbell if you have not already done so. http://www.my-big-toe.com and http://www.mbtevents.com. He has all of his stuff (books, videos powerpoint presentations) available on youtube, google books, etc. I think his ideas supersede those of Hameroff et al. Campbell is in a unique position as a practicing physicist who has also been studying other dimensions via out-of-body exploration for 40+ years. He and a colleague conceived of the use of binaural beats to induce brain wave states and did the original instrumentation for what has become The Monroe Institute.

I don’t believe that anything said above proves the existence of God. If you want to prove that God exists, first you have to disprove that God doesn’t exist. Otherwise you’re just making yourself and others who want to believe in God feel good and righteous. If human history proves anything it is that there’s no one god for all. if we have a free will, it is given to us for the purpose of creation. whatever we create is all valid. it has a different effect on the surrounding consciousness, but it is all art if you please. Unless God is some sort of demented art connoisseur , the concept is just wrong. the problem of us humans is that we never take responsibility for our actions. when we do good we thank God when we do bad , we blame the Satan, demons or bad parenting. why can’t we see it is us who make decisions, it is us who created every type of belief systems that ever existed in our history. and all the esoterical book that was ever written always points towards the evolution of human soul and non-linear nature of time outside of our universe. it is just logical to assume that the God everybody refers to is an individual god ( i.e. a more developed part of our souls), that is always there for us. It cannot affect a free will of others, but only assist us in achieving an understanding and exercising our own free will. this is the only explanation for all the sufferings and horrors that human brought onto themselves. all the good that people attribute to God, angels , heaven and etc. is ours. it is us who created god in our likeness, not the other way around. and all the magic that we assign to it is ours , it is within us and if there is a quantum leap that awaits us, it is to finally come to terms with our own power.we create our reality , we contribute to it with our every word and thought and action every moment of our lives and we still don’t recognize our own signature. the powerlessness that we feel comes from the fact that we give responsibility for our actions and thoughts and beliefs to somebody else . people, please, grow up and stop looking for father figure who is kind and almighty. start being parents yourselves. the thing that is really divine is human wisdom, ability to love, to create beauty and to get up after we’ve fallen and to love and create again. let’s start being responsible and we ‘ll make that leap to the next level very soon. you will see!

    • We humans have to realize that WE ARE GOD. The universe is God. God is “all that is”.

There’s no such thing as “all that isn’t”. That’s how I know God exists… I AM the creator. So are you. 🙂

      September 6, 2012 at 9:24 pm

      • With all do respect and love for your soul, your logic is not working at a unity of coherent thought. If you were God, you could die and come back to life. Jesus Christ is the only one who has ever done that with any credibility from the facts of history. For a person to claim to be God, they must exist outside of creation itself. For example, a little boy could create a picture and that picture could never have any bearing on the existence of that boy, but the picture/universe and the characters within that picture are dependent on that little boy for their existence. This is the miracle of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. God entered into His creation so we could know Him now, and live with Him in eternity. We are now suffering the curse of death because of this very kind of thinking that we are God or can become God. We were created at one point in space and time, which is the second reason why we know that we are not God. God cannot have a beginning, since God would need to be eternal. However, science has proven that the universe and everything in it had a beginning at the Big Bang event. Therefore, we know that we or anything in creation is not eternal. Moreover, the law of cause and effect bears witness that we are not God. We would never believe that a complex object like a computer, watch, or camera was a result of self creation, then why would you or anyone else believe that we could create ourselves from a mindless universal power that is not self existing, aware of self, and distinct from the rest of creation. If you were there at the beginning of creation, then tell me all about your knowledge of how things are made and work. My point being that the maker of a complex object (such as our universe, our minds, our eyes, our bodies) would know how something was manufactured and would be able to explain everything in great detail. The science behind the thesis in this article has some truth in it, but like all misunderstandings and lies, they are theories based on a limited understanding about our universe. Only when you understand the God who created everything in the universe, can you rightly understand the significance of scientific discoveries.

The only person who has ever seen our heavenly Father is His son, Jesus Christ. Therefore, we can only know God through a relationship with Jesus, which comes from studying the highly complex book called the Bible. Like the advancement in science we make through observation and studying the complexity of creation, we must study the Bible in the same way to gain the knowledge of God. Deut. 4:29 says to seek the Lord with all of your heart and soul and you will find Him. God cannot be treated like some cheap date that you take out for a movie and dinner before intimacy. God demands that you enter into a permanent relationship with Him before He will share His greatest treasures of the understanding of life. God is all seeing, and He know our heart before we even understand it. Therefore, we cannot come to God without a sincere desire to know Him, and obey the wisdom He gives us for living life. God is waiting, and calling everyone to step out of the darkness of death into the light of life in the Son. I could write days and never exhaust all the evidence of these truths through science, history, and the Bible, but time is short, so you will need to wait for my book. Therefore, let me close by saying: God appears to the broken hearted. That is to say, we must approach God with a heart willing to listen and change our thoughts and ways to His perfect guidelines for living a peaceful life with Him and our fellow man. God loves you so much that He was willing to suffer the pain of His Son’s brutal death on the cross to reconcile His relationship with His creation. Only when we except this peace offering can we begin to fellowship with God, and discover the unimaginable eternal life He has planed for us.

You missed the point of the article. Positive corralation of human consciousness because humanity was founded on the quantive principles of love. This has to include an entitity that created it. The multilevel of dimensional physics to make that possible cannot happen by random chance:
If you want to “dis”prove the existence of (my) God, first you have prove (my) God doesn’t exist. Otherwise you’re just making yourself and others believe in ( your God)
Pretty much a meaningless pursuit. Focus on unified consciousness with love for humanity using our individual unique cognitive process of solving problems. It’s all there you just have to ask for it.

B, I have “out of body experence” and also “commanding a computer PC to restart” by voice way back in 1999. When I was having a dead Computer Server in LAB and Everyone has already tried to start it. Just my saying “PC Start” and then I put all the power connections back it started and then work for hours, till we backuped all data.

The “out of body experence” always helped me in entering someone space and viewing as 3rd party as what is going on ! Also entering in brain of someone of my choice to look into whats going on.

in “out of body experence” case: I was sleeping or you can say, I have put my brain in the state of “off” and Consciousness to work.
I Support the theory of Consciousness, Electron, Wave and Particle.

in “commanding a computer PC to restart” case: it was the electrons or the computer system mechanism was instructed to work.

Both the 2 Experience / Realization give me power to say the above theory is appropriate.
Thought, Thought Process, View Points Creates on Identity in this materialistic world.

In this day and age, its really hard to come to conclusions about these things when everyone is just at each others throats with thier own beliefs, always saying they are right. Both sides make good points but constantly debase each other. I think we’re swimming in circles in matters like this, and until we really explore all possible extents of consciousness in a truly neutral way, we cant get anywhere

Been looking for an article like this for so so long you summed up my thoughts and much more. I am a complete atheist but consciousness is what i believe to be the soul. The way consciousness allows for experience is completely amazing and beyond comprehension for me. I just cant see how something of physical properties could make up something able to experience reality rather than have an external input and then output accordingly (just like a computer). Without consciousness would the brain function the same as without ? it always has me thinking whether there is a need for consciousness or whether it is just a by-product. If there is no apparent purpose to consciousness then is it fair to say that choice is an illusion and the conscious part of us just witnesses what choices have already been made by the brain?

    Sum up

    Computer : input –> process –> output

    (consciousness)
    Human : input –> Process –>output

    Is there a point ?

    (hopefully future neuroscience student)

      its more complicated than that
you would have to have a soul to understand
but lets assume you have one
the point is you can’t explain everything
      something you have to experience
for instance if you have never seen purple before
i can’t explain it to you with words
      well reality is like that
so maby your not experiancing reality like me
if not this talk won’t help
or wait maby it will help you
      who cares
hmm I wonder are atheists robots disguised as people

when what do you say on the power of habits and the retraining of your brain to replace old habits with new habits? is it an individual brain decision to be a drug addict on the street, a successful businessman on the wall street, a limbless person who wanted to kill himself but went to inspiring others etc? a brain can be partially remapped but whose decision is it to initiate the change?

  14. Interesting article no doubt. Sometimes I wonder if there even is a such thing as knowing it all,,or the really big questions. Perhaps its all endless and one knows more today then yesterday but will again know more tomorrow, and that could be how it always is. I have seen one view from the surroundings, nature and the universe that could be one possible ultimate truth. Which is it all is a repeat, round the world goes, the seasons, the weather, the planets and earth around the sun, to name a few. And what of our minds, with their repeats of thoughts and words, and out actions of habit? I have wondered if there is a time line, is that too a repeat, at the end do we go back to the beginning?, does everyone? Or is there a point along this repeating time line, where those living at that time do discover immortality, through science and technology or genetic engineering perhaps and they alone from then forward have the option of endless life perhaps. But even that could still be part of the very long ever repeating time line of humanity. Just some thoughts to ponder, maybe we will know someday,,maybe not!

There is nothing new under the sun, and in the universe, we are just slowly becoming aware of our own conciousness. The real challenge is to appreciate the fact that we don’t know (anything). If we could explain how two pieces of lifeless materials (egg and sperm) can join and spark an energy to produce conciousness then we would be on to something.

Hi all, I am from India and I am an engineer. My mom is a learned astrologer. I look at everything from scientific point of view. And even my mom always says that astrology is just science & mathematics. So we discuss lot about the science behind the predictions in astrology.

    A brief about Hindu Astrology:
Hindu astrology is all about how a human mind behaves in response to the position of 9 planets. It says the influence of planets on every individual is different. No two human will have similar horoscopes.

Some interesting facts about the Hindu astrology
    1) it predicts when a human will suffer, enjoy, meet with an accident or when he will face death. You may call it as fate but prediction is perfect.
    2) a link between the parents’ & child’s horoscope. Good astrologers predicts the parents’ horoscope by observing the child’s horoscope.

According to me, our ancestors were trying to decode the behavior of universal intelligence by observing the positioning of planets. And could write a theory based on that.

My question is about the “The Body-Brain and Consciousness Model”

    1. When you say consciousness is separate from brain-body: Where does this consciousness comes from?, In co-relating to the hindu astrology, can we say that the consciousness comes as a pre-program form from the universal intelligence?

    2. Is there a chance that the flow of consciousness happens hereditary and is there a connection between consciousness of parents’ and of children ?

The skills to understand this in whole but I
Will say I have been pondering what I imagine
Every one does at some point when our body gives out what happens to I , me , self , it’s seems less likely to me it just ends and much more likely we reemerge the instant we leave our calcium suits of now into one of many potentials of then or maybe we become observers until our true potential arrives creating a harmony for us to spring up in to a knew bud of ,I ,me , self, or life as we know it in the now . Maybe we keep reoccurring until
We become conscious of our potential -s
Enabling us to achieve what we inevitably must to leave this planet seems logical this is going to be by necessity to leave our flesh behind . If so I can’t wait 😉

The brain of course being matter. It is obvious the more man became consciously aware, the bigger the brain became.

Research indicates to me that consciousness is light that has such a short wavelength (Planck scale 10E-35 meters) that humans cannot yet measure it so we think consciousness is a brain event though the evidence suggests the mind is non-local.

The frequency of light is so high that this light can pass through everything. This Planck scale wavelength light provides the energy for quantum spin. Quantum spin causes matter to exist. Remove the light and matter evaporates. This is why matter is not observable between stars and why we can see stars when we look into space. The stars cannot project their holograms past their heliospheres.

Consider the sun as a holographic projector and space is the screen that the hologram is projected on to. The Planck scale light leaves the sun and causes all matter in our solar system to exist. If the sun would suddenly turn off, all matter in the heliosphere would either evaporate or change into something different due to receiving a much less dose of Planck light from distance stars.

The earth has been in equilibrium for a long time so we cannot notice any changes except now, radioactive decay is no longer constant which could be related to a change in Planck light. The cosmological constant is no longer constant indicating something is changing now.
There are more bizarre things happening that support this idea.

What happens when we finally can measure Planck light. What will the act of observing Planck light do to matter and reality? If we observe Planck light and the wave function collapses like in the double slit experiment, what happens to the matter that Planck light waves cause to exist? Could this be the switch that turns off the projector (our star the sun).

I don’t understand all of this. I want pretend that I do. I feel as if I’m on the edge of a great precipice… Leap comes to mind. I have has several mysterious experiences which assure me these studies are all true and I hope will be realized by more than just a few. Ironically I was led by my conscious (God) to these truths. Most people just can’t see the big picture but I believe all the pieces of the puzzle fit with Quantum mechanics. I dont think anyone can understand life and its purpose without combining ALL things. I know I am part of ALL even when I don’t like certain individuals because of their greediness. I realize its their ignorance and close minded behavior and beliefs. I try to have empathy but sometimes it eludes me. It still irritates me to be around these type of people who believe they are super intelligent and they are simply trying to manipulate others to serve their own greed. While I agree with almost all you have written – you have done an excellent job presenting all of this in a way most people can comprehend and understand – I hope you are wrong about how we will not be unique individuals after the joining of consciousness of all.
I think that is something we never lose even if we live 100 lifetimes. It changes and evolves but some part remains unique in our consciousness. We have different gifts and talents. Just because we evolve into a higher dimension where we are able to love all people in a blind deaf and dumb sense rather than judgment sense shouldn’t mean we lose our uniqueness. I think many people fear dying and evolving because of these thoughts that they will not be unique. Not sure I’m making my point. It seems a common belief that to be an angel or part of all ….that we lose our personal identity. As if identity is a bad thing. Just as people continue to believe if they become a Christian .. life will be boring. It seems as if you’re saying we will be zombies being directed by a great zombie. All thinking alike and acting alike. (Sorry if I have misinterpreted your words on this.) To me it seems the exact opposite could evolve from joining consciousness with all others. The reason we need to evolve is to understand we are related and part of a whole. This should make people realize that only by sharing all wealth and materials are we able to be happy. If the concept of control, power and capitalism etc are seen as true evil then love could prevail but that shouldn’t take away our concept of self in the process. Its not our self that is bad or in need of destruction. It is our ego that competes and wars within us. Principles taught that must be destroyed. As Tolle relates awareness evolves the ego into what it was intended to be-part of the whole. I’m not sure we can become AWARE unless we desire deeply to do so. I just don’t think evolving means we lose our unique self or that self is bad and must be destroyed to evolve. I think self is what must become aware and evolve to perceive the happiness of what it means to become whole.
In other words its a nice thought that something will happen that will force us to evolve into loving people who care about ALL people and consider themselves part of a Whole ….but I’m not sure that would solve the problem. A cataclysmic event would not destroy everyone and there would still be a few left who would try to control and lead and build their own kingdom. So what would change ALL mankind …force has never worked nor has fear tactics. To evolve we must awaken to awareness of Quantum Mechanics without question. But we cant be forced or threatened. Evolving takes time, its not an overnight or sudden event. But the only true way to evolve is by choice and desire to evolve and the belief that we need to evolve to become whole. Wholeness means happiness to me.
I would love for something to happen that would awaken all mankind to the reality of their silly egotistical pursuits. The vanity of titles, awards, fortune and fame is so destructive to people and those they enslave or manipulate others to further their pursuits. But I’m not sure it can be forced upon them to open their eyes ears and hearts to understand these things.
If the particles would stop trying to impress others they could become waves. Waves have much more personality than those particles who are trying to impress others. Its the particles who are boring…just following the path they have been directed to follow by unevolved egos. Left alone they seem to have much more fun bouncing around and enjoying life 🙂
Is this God? Yes in all languages and all people. Its the hidden meanings of Biblical scriptures as well as part of ALL religions and histories of mankind. Its an accumulation of all things the path to the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Yet few are able to make their way through this tiny black hole we know as the opening to other dimensions. Everything in life hints and gives clues to the truth of Quantum theories. Even I a simple person with no scientific education can know the truth without understanding all of it because I sought to know and be aware. As Tolle states, ” “The extent of the ego’s inability to recognize itself and see what it is doing is staggering and unbelievable. […] To become free of the ego is not really a big job but a very small one. All you need to do is be aware of your thoughts and emotions – as they happen. This is not really a ‘doing’ but an alert ‘seeing.’
Just as those particles make the mistake of paying attention to others watching them …rather than being a wave and becoming aware …freeing themselves by seeking within rather than looking without.

Janna, your determination to hold on to your individual identity reminds me of myself just a couple of years ago, when I first heard of this concept that as our soul progresses it sheds its attachment to current identities, becomes aware of its many parts and revels in the glory of this unification and connectedness. ” No way, I said to myself, I am going to want to forget me and all the people that I love and treasure” . But something happened to me since then , some realizations and experiences that shifted my perceptions. Think about a pair of shoes that you really love. remember how you felt when they were shiny and new, and then you got the first scuff or scratch on them. Do you remember that feeling that they were spoiled now? And then you kept wearing them and wearing them , and eventually they were all worn out and scuffed but you still loved them even they were imperfect.
Go back to the beginning of your post when you talk how you cannot find the empathy for certain individuals because of your disapproval of their way. that irritation that you are experiencing is the same judging feeling that they are somehow not good for not acting according to your moral standards. But the more you walk through life , the more scratches and scuffs you accumulate , the less judging you’ll have in your heart towards others and that alone will allow you to experience the feeling of connectedness even with that part of the globe that doesn’t seem to operate on the same level of conscience awareness as you. At some point you as you is going to be less important then the lessons and experiences and love that you will collect in this lifetime, and just as with shoes will be ready to let go of your identity as a vehicle that served its purpose . Good luck on your journey!

When I was 15 years old (I’m 50 now), I bought a book on self hypbnosis and while going through the steps to hypnotise myself I started projecting out of my body astrally. I actually floated up towards the ceiling, turned around in the air and saw my body lying on the bed! I got such a fright I flashed right back into my body! I know this is true because I saw my body, the room and everything. It wasn’t just imagination, it was absolutely real.
What was that other than consciousness leaving my body. Why was I the one in the air and not the one on the bed looking up at the astral body?
I had only ONE SINGLE consciousness and that at the moment was floating up towards the ceiling of my bedroom.
Upon reading your article I remembered this. I actually wish I could agree with “measuring” and “observing” everything but because we couldn’t measure light in the beginning doesn’t mean it never existed. We suspected that it existed and it took “light years” until we were able to measure it.
Yet, I believe that God is all and in all and that God has a personality. We will always be unique individuals. It would be very simplistic to imagine that we will all one day be the same entity. And yet we may be but with different aspects, whatever they may be then! I believe that God is so infinite that we are only stepping onto the FIRST STEP of the INFINITE NUMBER of steps we will still embark on.

ALL THE CONTRIBUTIONS HERE ARE VALID, AS ALL HAVE WORTH. SOME ARE MORE LEARNED THAN OTHERS, BUT I BELIEVE IN SPIRITUAL WISDOM (WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT ALL THIS IS ABOUT! WE’RE JUST TRYING TO MEASURE SPIRIT!)

It is amazing how so many people read this and from the 47 who replied only one was critical. How can you accept such unproven theories and distortions of facts? It is already suspicious when someone is using words like Hadron Collider or ions like he is talking about peanuts. In any case just because some people WANT to believe I have to be the one to bring you the bad news. This theory is proved not to work. Quoting Wikipedia “The main argument against the quantum mind proposition is that quantum states in the brain would decohere before they reached a spatial or temporal scale at which they could be useful for neural processing. This argument was elaborated by the physicist, Max Tegmark. Based on his calculations, Tegmark concluded that quantum systems in the brain decohere quickly and cannot control brain function.[3][4]” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_mind

one can be critical but before any discovery is made , there should be a vision guiding the research , there should an assumption , that might be crazy for mainstream. sometimes being a mad scientist is necessary to step out of the box. Not everybody can have a PHD in neuroscience or quantum physics however popular science can still more or less deliver the theories and concepts to a general public and spark a thinking process.

GeoJ, I am unsure of what you read from either article, but your statements and your information given do not seem to formulate any sort of logic..This article is all about how quantum mechanics may be able to explain consciousness, and so is the one you linked other than the two lines that you quoted, where directly under that it states his theory has basically been set aside; as quantum biology is becoming more and more accepted and studied. Beyond that, I’d just like to say that quoting Wikipedia out of context is probably one of the least effective ways to gain any sort of credibility and that much more relevant and important theories have been accepted for years as fact to explaining large workings of the universe and then have been proving wrong again and again. Personally, I’d rather chase a pipedream theory my entire life then just accept everything the way it is as unchanging fact. What’s so wrong with WANTING (:P) to believe anyways? Who says we haven’t done our research before just randomly accepting a theory? Finally, who are you to judge what we choose to accept from what I know about you, your pessimistic, blindly critical and far from credible, but then again that’s just a jaded judgement based on a few sentences and some likely illegitimate deducement or unfair distortion of the truth….guess me and you are somewhat alike after all. It’s a crazy world we live in, ill leave it at that.

I agree with the fundaments in this, but then again, what we persive is solely based on our ability to “remeber”.
And that is based on several other inputs, thrue movies and so on.

Dimentions, is as far I know a missconsept of what I have expirienced and “knows” about.

This mirrored multiuniverce, where I is doing different things, where the outcome is different a.s.o. is a fundamental error, and dont explain anything acodinlgy to what others and I have expirienced.
Our reality boils down to two aspects, level of conscuisness and what reality is manifested in to the level of cons.
In this reality, the fundamentals of time/space is sett in spesifications acordingly to this level/reality.
If you alter the consc- to an higher level, the perseptions are the same(3d), but the reality manifested is different, time and scpace, and the level of consc, is the main factor of expiriencing and acting in this reality. In this level of consc. the reality can be manipulatet since the level of consc. is higher, because we are not bound by the sale laws that we expirience in this reality.

This is an Organic world, where we need the organic entety to survive, integrated into/with other organic entetys.
But we all have, since all matter, manifested as selforg. colective consc. by a spesific level of consc. is solid in this reality, when aplyed the inorganic part, the realty changes, that inorganic part is consc. manifested as an energetic selforg consc. like matter.

All matter is inherent a dobbel, one org and one non org, complementary forces, the ballance, that consc. is able to do “anything” in higher levels.

Just to give a description of reality, I like the analogy of the Ygdrasil(the world tree), wher we are at the tipp of an branch, as leafs, thats our reality, and everytime we goes outside of the Leaf/Reality we persiive a larger part of the Ygdrasil, more of iits branches to use this analogy.
With that perseption, conscu. is changed, our enegetic body is charged all the time, the opositt of the drainage WE all have in this times.

An ex: I could flung you directly outside this reality, even say to you that you will have divine powers, to create and to destroy(ying/Yang), and to be a fullblown “god”, even create living things, with the bare voice, the ultimate thuthe, the power of words, long forgotten and hidden for us.
Yehaa, and I know whats going to happened, absolutely Nothing, you cant even move there, not even do anything exept for hanging in midd air somewhere, anywhere.
But not here, and that may even drive some of you mad and then you are stuck and an easy prey to other inorganic entetys.
Not all are that nice, like here, but the majorety is “as us”.

Thats why we have bounderys and levels of consc. this is not even menth to be easy, iits a warriors path.
There are ways to manage this, but the thing is to alter your mind, to be upen and to push and challange everything, even the things you belive is impossible.
The Gates mentioned in the Art of Dreaming(the zens dont tlak that mutch about this, neither do others), the 7 gates are infact about movment, to be able to manipulate what you are witnessing and expiriencing and a reality, lucid dreaming is a good way.
As I have sayed before, thats why you are not solid, in this feild, solid you are only on the sides opisite to the feild, this and/or the other side.
First gate is always the ability to go into an altered state, as mnetioned above, the second gate is to change the dream in your dream, by focusing on anything for some seconds and you will alter the dream, the same virwell/tunnel apears when you look at a distant object/mountain/huse/whatever, and keep it, untill the rift apeasr and you are moved thure space/tiem in a complelty different motion than ever before, its almoust the same as described in the movie Matrix, the mastering of intent, to Do it, Not to think.
    Jump m..f…

A,s,o, when the 3 gate is when you see your self in the dream, thats you in this world sleaping, the inorganic body is standing in the dreamworld, the feild between this and the next level of consc..

The 4 gate is garded by Inorganic entetys, from then of, you are on your own, just remeber, what you are, a human.
    You are given a choice.
But stil you can live on this reality, this is the one that eventualy matters, this as our Paradise, if we cant handle this, what can we do else, with no matter how mutch “power” we have, this is the “batleground” for our consc. to rise or fall, its all up to you and me.
What we think and do, matters more than ever, and since collective consc. is more powerfull than a single person, we can infact do miracles, if we all intedned it.
    The power of Intent.

The higher levels are more on the sice of it, above us there are planets(mother earth, and all her creatures are the same, matirx, and our orgnanic entety), and then solarsystems and galaxies, and so on.

    peace

  39. Ok! we all know about the collapsing wave. An Electron = the core of our solidity ( physical reality) It is only a “solidity or reality” when a conscious Observer is looking at or is measuring it. The wave is a wave of consciousness of possibilities or a wave of possibilities. Then the ocean of is the possibilities the creator. As the 7 laws of Hermes = “Spirit mind = consciousness, cause & effect, As above as below, Attraction, Balance or Harmony, Vibration, Polarity or Gender. The electron is core of Reality !Thought creates give and take from the Ocean of possibilities that mean we are created from this ocean & therefore we are part of this Ocean. That means this ocean is the creator is reciprocated not an experiment but existence of life force of some would say God Or a collective of all consciousness that we go back to have another experience of life for the ocean of possibilities! We I could be wrong but it makes more sense than an accident or humanizing God, Spirit is od & the ocean of possibilities is a collective of spirit & we are mind + spirit

  42. Congratulations: Great ideas. Their greatness lessened not though not science. Nor theory, nor hypothesis as science would require. Though one day your ideas may fulfill those criteria, I vote them valuable now.

    They sparkle.

Einstein, but for his mathematical solutions for his special and general relativity theorems, would be without a Nobel (actually for the photo electric effect, a quantum theory of light). Yet his ideas (even unsolved) would be none the less spectacular. Just like the Kaluza-Klein formalism inferring a fourth spatial dimension derivable from Einstein’s general relativity solution. More, even Schwarzschild’s elegant solutions remain unproved waiting more data.

Your insights bring to mind HG Wells, Gene Roddenberry and even Carl Sagan. Great ideas required greater proofs that eluded even them, yet diminished not their genius. Examples for Sagan, “Dragons Of Eden”, and “Contact”.

After all even the rigorous mathematical formulae that solve general and special relativity do not qualify as an a priori system (as do perhaps more basic number systems), relying rather upon data and empirical reasoning — an ‘a posteriori’ system. And as Godel proposes even an a priori system may not be subject to proofs that are intrinsically consistent, as you have pointed out.

Yet the scientific method is useful to make great ideas reducible, useful and engineered to evolve new and greater ideas.

With that as prologue may I say that I’ve been following David Bohm since the book “Quantum Implications” from the 1970s. More recently, “Wholeness and the Implicate Order” by Bohm And Hiley was published in the 1990s just after his death. That they were written by a first order mind recognized as a leading quantum physicist, cannot mask a pose for their scientific value.
Bohm’s great speculations into the cosmic order do not reach the level of theory, or even qualify as a scientific hypothesis. So too neither do the great ideas bundled together now and known as “String Theory”. Even a mind as prodigious as Ed Witten’s has not conceived a mathematic to solve the speculative architecture proposed for the micro world of one dimensional dancing strings and branes.

Yet they sparkle as ideas transcendent and transplendent!

Please, must you stop your ideological exploration at ‘eternal consciousness’?

Does not Bohm’s metaphor – the quantum plenum – invite Wholeness by the implicate/explicate eternal system duality to infer meaning — an ontology — for understanding consciousness beyond the material brain it images (tailored fit for a coffee pot) in its non-local holographic oneness beyond? Well beyond? Far beyond?

Bohm found the stochastic laws derivable to the Quantum Mechanics to imply meaning for cosmic interconnectedness – a new holistic ideological framework for understanding the cosmos at work.

Is it a reach too far to conceive that the ‘eternal consciousness’ you write about is universal in dimension ((3 expanded and perhaps 8 collapsed Planck(ian) sized)) and functioning holistically across a cosmic horizon? Can quantum non-local BEC networks (beyond the pot) be at play projecting from a mind “cosmic” in fractal all light, all forces, all matter and energy — both immanent and dark?

Beneficent? Free? Omnipotent? Omniscient? The cosmos molded by our conscious minds invites us to conceive it to existence as it itself as cosmic mind materializes by its own cosmic existence, no? Cosmos alive!!

One reader suggests matters might become clear upon ‘first contact’.

Yet has not that first contact long since passed?

Perhaps even when once upon a time a voice was heard to say for introduction “I AM THAT I AM”?

PS. Non-locality as in quantum entanglement perhaps has yet to surpass the light barrier for information exchange through space-time. So such a grand speculation as in a non-locally functioning cosmic mind operating as one (instantaneously in the exchange of information across a cosmic horizon) might trespass too far as an idea worthy of greatness.

But it remains an exhilaratingly exciting one.

This is all true, the first comment and the post, I can say that isthe human opinion that has given us most of our answers. But without gods help and plans we would have never even learned of our existence. If Adam and Eve were to not have eaten the sacred fruit of good and evil knowledge, we would be like animals. We all would have died out years ago but we learned to survive gods challenge to learn. Slowly evolution is arriving for us. We will not know when or how, but soon we will.

Oh and kehcituna god can’t be disproved easily that concept has been on earth and in human mind for over 500 billion years. But I will say this for him to plan the creation of our world and of us he had to be mortal also to has feel of fear of death and the feel of joy to live. His must have been able to learn humility and feel guilt and find relief. Show acts of kindness to all and learn the feeling of betrayal. Gain and lose, raise and fall, love and hate. He had to learn to control his actions and help others learn the same things he learn. To create like a carpenter, to love and care like a teacher, to lead and convince like a leader. I can’t disprove him because he has learned what we have to learned before we all die. I believe he is god, I may not know him personally, but I can say nothing is without knowledge if it is something.

There must be a 3rd state of the electron. A state that exists independent, beyond the observed and nonobserved. A unifing level where particle/wave duality are one transmission, something we can’t see, maybe because of the duality of our perception, of our consciousness. How can there be light without dark, a magnet without two poles?

  47. “As the human race becomes aware of their true ability, a realization will set in that the oneness, self, and I-ness associated with greed and capitalism are not compatible with human evolution.

Mankind is on the pioneering edge of the greatest evolutionary change revealed to date as most of us are oblivious, unaware, and confused by our desire to understand ourselves.”

Now this has become possible since 1970 with the start of a unique meditative practice called Sahaja Yoga. The founder of Sahaja Yoga, Nirmala Devi, hailed it as the next jump in human evolution and awareness in the 70s itself. What happens is that we get connected to the collective consciousness (the consciousness that is common to the whole universe) and we are able to feel the bliss and joy of that state in an absolutely tangible manner without the use of any stimulants, mental acrobatics etc. Every line of what you have said in the above two paragraphs is true with Sahaja Yoga.

The change in awareness is instantaneous i.e. you get connected to the collective consciousness as soon as a certain Motherly energy is awakened within you. You “become” aware that you are not this ego, greed, emotions etc. but you are the pure Spirit, a part and parcel of the whole. Due to this method of meditation, our sufferings cease because we are the center of our sufferings and when we are put right, our sufferings also vanish. Through this method, we have also found that it is possible to alleviate the sufferings of others by means of the power of this collective consciousness. This is indeed the greatest evolutionary change “revealed” to us to date because we “become” higher people in the sense that we automatically become more loving, more compassionate, more forgiving, more moral and more secure within ourselves.

Had you made these statements before 1970, you would have been giving a prophecy, but Sahaja Yoga has already started 44 years ago and is an extremely scientific method. The first rule is that one is not expected to believe anything about Sahaja Yoga blindly but to verify the truth for themselves and then accept that it is indeed a (r)evolutionary method. Moreover, as it is a living process of evolution, it is absolutely free of cost to anyone who wishes to learn and for those who already practice it. In the spirit of scientific attitude, I would request you to try it out and try to learn it for a few weeks and verify its truth for yourself.

supposing if a person loses parts of his brain ,like frontal lobe due to surgery ,he loses many intellectual functions -what happens to the conscience then? does consciense grows with age ? if it is not a property of brain and has an independent existense can we say an infant -and the oldman that is the grown up infant have the same consciousness?

    November 26, 2015 at 6:45 pm

    • Yes consciousness grows by experience. Yes they have the same consciousness with same memories and some memories get altered with time.

is it not too mechnical to just relate quantum theory to brain -mind ? evolution says that man has evolved from ape like animals -there are many such animals -do you mean to say only humans have conscience and the other animals do not have it? we can explain consciousness only as part of brain development with age -it appears as though you are telling conscience does not change and it goes from one body to the other-does that not contradict scintific principles?

There are many experiments that have proven that electrons have dual characteristics, even light shows dual natures. for example one of the experiment is the double slit experiment.

Vedic theory describes the consciousness. You can find almost the same descriptions in Bible and Judaism. But consciousness is an adjective; its associated noun is soul. Soul has many other properties besides consciousness. Take a look at the soul theory book at https://theoryofsouls.wordpress.com/

Most important property of soul is that – using meditation it can acquire powers, called yogic powers, which can perform miracles beyond our imaginations. Besides yogic power, soul theory creates reincarnation and destiny.

Reincarnation can reproduce physical birth marks exactly from previous life to present life. Soul theory can also predict the destiny of every event exactly at any space time point, including past, present, and future times, in the entire universe.

All of the above results have been demonstrated by nature and are well documented on the internet. Moreover you can acquire divine vision, by using yogic meditation, to see anything in the universe, and personally verify the entire soul theory. The above soul theory book has many examples.

    • idpnsd, it’s probably falling on death ears, most people with preconceived perceptions created by existing in a particular box, will think what you stated her is twaddle or fanciful, this is quite understandable.

Meditation allows one to break down these preconceptions by allowing one’s consciousness to exist outside the box, in actuality, any practice that gets our consciousness out of these box’s will do the same thing. It’s easy-peasy, don’t become too fixated to isms and ideologies that keep you in a box, let the consciousness go free, this is why meditation works so well I believe.

It’s good to see you are still at it.

Destiny law is very amazing. It can be easily confused with god also. But destiny can be precisely predicted by any high level yogi, thus destiny cannot be god. Destiny is created by the interactions of all souls of the universe for all time. That is called the global destiny, and individual destiny is derived from this global destiny.

Since we are souls, none of us are really inside a box, although it may appear so to all of us. Something said now, may come back to you even after 10-20 years, when the boxes change in shape, color, and transparency. Nothing, anywhere, is wasted. Every action is part of the global destiny. You are very correct about meditation, it connects to your soul, and therefore to all the souls of the universe.

It is great to see you here Mathew. I am glad that you still remember me.

  61. Consciousness is just what we grants certain forms of life. And life is a physicochemical process. Obviously dogs are conscious in a way that comes close to the way humans are. And clearly we see when you damage the nervous system you damage consciousness. Come on guys let’s stay in reality here. It’s okay to have a little fun and to imagine all sorts of creative realms but none of that is science and none of that is real. It is clear that Consciousness is just the most advanced and complex form of life on this planet.

Clearly we have complex internal worlds internal experience and also complex overt Behavior. But none of that makes us any more than complex organisms on a planet shining in the Sun. There’s nothing magical or Supernatural involved. At least there’s not one good shred of evidence for believing anything more than the biological reality that we inhabit

We can see the biological reality of being an energy converting organism trying to maintain homeostasis. Our nervous systems are physicochemical happenings that create what we call consciousness through the life process. If you damage your brain you damage your whole sense of reality as well as all your experience and ability of function. And sadly if you die that is it there’s no more functioning or experience

It sucks but it should make us more sober realistic thinkers and push us towards better adaptations at securing our survival

    May 22, 2016 at 12:10 am

    • It is science. Science will solve the mind brain problem. We have to develop a sense that will detect it because our five senses are blind and can’t observe it.

      June 14, 2016 at 4:57 pm

    • Chris, when two people at the same time witness draws opening and shutting on there own, this is an indication of a consciousness interacting separate from the physical brain. I gather you haven’t experienced anything like this, if you did, trust me, you would think differently.

There are huge amounts of case histories like this plus OBE’s and reincarnation. I understand your stance, if I didn’t experience these things myself, there is no way I would have believed them but I did. Don’t disregard this because you yourself have not experienced this kind of thing first hand, there not all delusional episodes Chris, not by far. Try to keep an open mind.

I think one of the best arguments for consciousness holding together reality is this: haven’t you just opened your eyes before and everything looks like a confused jumble? Well that’s because it is. Its your consciousness arranging the matter in the room to the way you “remember” its supposed to be.

    June 14, 2016 at 1:30 am

  65. For those who say that this is proof of the Christian God, I say that you are both correct and incorrect. Here’s why:

Using the model that has been proposed here, then our consciousness is something that can exist outside of our bodies. That means that when our human bodies die, we can carry on in our “spirit” or conscious form. This form of after life has been interpreted in many different ways since the dawn of time. Just like our lives on Earth as humans, our lives in the beyond are subjective. WE are the ones who interpret the world for what we believe it is. That is why we have developed so many different cultures throughout the world. So as we have cultural diversity in life, we also have it in the after life.

Because the after life is subjective, then ones experience in this plane is certainly up to that individual to interpret. Some will label it as Heaven and meet a being that they will call “God”. Others will meet Shiva, or Zeus, or whoever else they might believe in. Others will simply exist in the plane and not feel the need to define it, only to maneuver it the best way they know how.

That’s why this model is so important. It doesn’t mean “Oh, Christians had it right all along!”. No, it means we all pretty much had it right. There is no “wrong” way to interpret something that is subjective. No one person can claim such discoveries for themselves, it can be shared among us. It was thanks to these findings that I even grew to be more understanding and compassionate for religious people because it helped me realized that we are all going to the same place even if we see it differently. It is good to know that I am not as separate from my fellow people on Earth as the world would like me to believe.

We should rejoice, for we all have so much more work to do together in the world no matter what Dogma we spawn from 🙂

  66. what is reality beyond the the astro physics. What we believe we believe to be reality is no more than vibrating matter .all is consciousness, as the conscious universe. As in the double slit Experiment it take a conscious observer to turn the wave field in to a form that the Human can comprehend. What is reality when people use less than the creatures orf the Earth? Think what we transpond as reality is , touch, hear see, taste, smell? These are noth more than electrical impulses that even can be tampered with with vibration. When it comes to the double slit experiment it take a conscious observer to tranpose the wave form into what they can understand. Our minds make sence out of the colapsing wave. We are like a set radio station and the sting is other radio channels ( frequncies.
